Who Else Wants to Keep Failing?
Who wants to carry on being a failure? Failure.
Not a great word is it?
It is a very negative word, it says
nothing good happened at all.
But it's still a word that is used
a lot by so many people. Here in the UK as this is being written
there is a huge buzz in the media
about an alternative phrase for
the word failure.
This buzz centres around a group
of school teachers who have decided
that failure is not an option for
the children they teach. Now
they just have "deferred success".
Of course the media is sensationalising
the phrase as Political correctness, but
I can see where they are going with this. Deferred success, I like the sound
of it don't you?
It was said by someone (and repeated
by many) that you haven't failed until
you actually stop trying. When you
look right at it, deferred success means
exactly the same thing. In a classroom
they will make you do something over and
over until you get it right, so until
they give up doing it, no one has failed.
If they eventually grasp the lesson
then their success was only deferred
until a later time. Isn't this how you should see your
business "failures" instead.
You no longer failed you merely
deferred success until you attain
it later. Every "deferred success"
is actually a step towards success
because you just learned how not
to do whatever it is you were
attempting. Once you run out of
ways that don't work, you will
discover the one that does. When you fail you are using a negative
in association with your business. If
you defer success then that says
something positive is yet to come. So isn't it time for you to stop
failing, and instead have a
"deferred success"? Douglas Titchmarsh runs several

Remembering What You Read - Nine Effective Strategies
Reading lots these days? Having trouble remembering and recalling? For many, reading is a passive activity. And, as with many passive activities, it's challenging for the brain and the body to absorb and assimilate information. On the other hand, the more actively engaged and involved the reader is, with as many senses as possible, the greater the likelihood the reader will be able to remember and recall information. The name of the game is planting information into our memory web in such a way that we can harvest it later on. So, here are nine tools and techniques you can use in the planting process.
Perseverance - Your Key To Success
If failure is the roadway, then Perseverance is the vehicle to success. Not to forget, Persistent determination of yours is to achieve the goal, your ultimate objective; not to deviate from the main vision of yours by acting presumptuously?. A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and God appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. Winning: Defining It - Achieving It
If you ask most people whether they would like to be considered a winner or a loser in life, they would most assuredly reply that they would like to be a winner. But this begs the question, "What does it mean to win at life?" In some things it's easy to define a clear winner. In a basketball game, whoever has the most points at the end of the game is the winner. In a game of hearts, my favorite card game, whoever has the least amount of points when one of the players reaches 100 points is the winner.
The Disciplines of Success
Success, in the dictionary, is defined as, "The achievement of something desired, planned, or attempted." So why is success in our society defined by the balance in your bank account, the car you drive, or how big your house is? You are successful if you are a lawyer, doctor, or movie actor with a six figure income. You should be able to be called a "success" when you have been able to do anything and everything you have wanted to do in your life. Shouldn't success be defined as being able to do what your passion is in life? Shouldn't you be successful when you have achieved complete happiness? Besides money, wealth should include your spiritual, physical and mental well-being.

Raise Your Bar: The Power of Yes
Every one of us lives with a ceiling, a belief ceiling.
Some ceilings are lower than others. Beyond that

Five Principals for Prosperity
Many years ago, forty to be exact, I started my own business at the tender age of nineteen. The street markets in and around Manchester England was my happy hunting ground. Every day was an adventure and despite the weather and difficulties of getting a stall on the street market, life was always fun and enjoyable. There was always some comical incident, even when I had to stand in the pouring rain, with no customers in sight. And if there was no amusing event to focus on I created one and made other people laugh.
