Why You Cant Budget For Success
Do you constantly find yourself saying
"I can't afford it" or "It's not in my budget"? If so, when it comes to your business you need to
replace those defeating words with
"How can I generate the revenue that I need to
invest in the success of my business?" This process is vital to the success of your business
because thinking small will prevent big accomplishments. If you believe that you can't do what is necessary
to grow your business, you are right. If you believe that you can accomplish whatever
is needed to grow your business, you are right. When you are faced with what you consider an
expensive purchase for your business,
ask yourself the following questions: 1. What will this purchase mean to
the future of my business? 2. What is my expected return on investment,
and how long will it take to recoup the costs? 3. What will be the consequences of not
making this purchase? 4. Will it actually cost me more to take
shortcuts instead of making this purchase? If you need to make a purchase that will improve the
future of your business and contribute to its growth,
look at it as an investment in your business. Don't create a budget for it, create an Investment Plan
for your business success. In your Investment Plan, detail how you will
generate the needed revenue to invest in your
business success. Don't put just a single investment in your plan,
include every investment that you will need to
make for your business to succeed.
This should include training, marketing,
accounting, equipment, continuing education,
and anything else that is vital to the
success of your business. After each item ask yourself
"How am I going to make this possible?"
and then list ALL of the possible ways
you can generate revenue to make it possible. Remember, thinking small can prevent big accomplishments.
So think big to create the business of your wildest dreams. Copyright 2004 Black Unicorn Communications, Inc.

In individualistic success models, success is not due to the individual's relationship with his external environment or place in society, but, rather, a matter of individual accomplishment or, in some cases, a measure of his relationship with God. These models had their roots originally in Protestant Calvinism and are the typical ones you will see in "Success" books.

The Subtlety of Language
I have found that sometimes the subtle difference in our attitude, which of course can make a major difference in our future, can be as simple as the language we use. The difference in even how you talk to yourself or others. Consciously making a decision to quit saying what you don't want and to start saying what you do want. I call that faith. Believing the best, hoping for the best and moving toward the best.

Not to forget, Persistent determination of yours is to achieve the goal, your ultimate objective; not to deviate from the main vision of yours by acting presumptuously?. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. So, this the man did, day after day.

People who are on the same journey tend to band together, and the journey of life is no different. Throughout the Internet and in the real world, like-minded travelers have joined to form support groups, newsgroups, goal-buddy groups, chat rooms, tele-groups (using conference call telephone bridge lines) coaching groups, and mailing lists (email or snail mail) - just to name a handful of the available support resources - all dedicated to making sure that every member or participant has a real chance to make to their goals a reality.
